Brug Guitars

Many guitar players and builders alike believe that the instrument as it is has reached its full potential. If this were the case, Marcus van Engelen would not be building guitars. He believes that by improving the construction, by incorporating new technologies and adding versatility to the guitar, he can give musicians a better tool to tell their stories.
Music is a language, and every musician has at least one great story to tell. By enhancing the versatlitiy and improving the playability, the story can become more interesting. We believe that the imagination of the player should determine what he has to say, not the limitation of one's technique, technology or the instrument.

The current models include a redesigned classic and a semi hollowbody electric guitar.

-The redesigned classic (model NS) has an innovative solution for the unsightly nuts and bolts and ditto plastic scratchplate that probably were considered classy in the late fifties. The attack and sustain of this model have been improved, and the use of modern pickups eliminates electromagnetic interference.

-The Dons' hollowbody guitar has been designed from scratch. It incorporates a totally new neck-body construction for ultimate playability and amazing response. Rich in overtones, poor in unwanted feedback. Great sustain for this type of guitar, in fact for any type of guitar. Options such as a separate acoustic output.
